About Me

From Administration to Digital Communications: My Journey

With nearly 25 years of experience spanning administration and digital communications, I’ve found my ideal role as a Communications Officer in local government, where I combine my passion for writing with strategic community engagement.

My path to communications began during my time working remotely at Creative Little Soul, a Sydney-based digital marketing agency. There, I worked with small rural businesses to enhance their digital presence through compelling blog content, website development, and strategic social media management.

This role built upon my extensive administrative background, which includes positions as:

  • Operations Assistant at GrainCorp
  • Personal Assistant at two local accounting businesses
  • Assistant to the Dealer Principal at a local automotive dealership, where I mastered stakeholder relations

This diverse experience has equipped me with a unique blend of corporate professionalism, digital marketing expertise, and community engagement skills. I specialise in helping:

  • Authors promote their novels through strategic digital marketing and engaging content
  • Small rural businesses build their online presence and connect with their target audience

Let’s discuss how my expertise can help elevate your author platform or small rural business presence. Whether you need assistance with social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing, I’m here to help your work shine.

My life

I live on a farm at Nyah West with my husband, Ross and two daughters, Hannah and Josie. The farm predominately grows onion seed that is sent all over the world. We wouldn’t say we’re living the dream, but we enjoy farm life, and it’s great that our girls have grown up with the freedom of wide-open spaces and plenty of fresh air.

Farming is all I have ever known. I grew up on a farm just out of Culgoa, a town that is still very dear to me. My Mum and Dad have retired to Nyah West. Since they moved up here, Mum and I have become obsessed with growing flowers (well, Mum has always been, I got into it during Covid). I started a little flower-growing business, Drift Sand Blooms, in 2021. You can visit our website or check us out on our FacebookInstagram and Pinterest social pages.

Family is everything to me, and my writing work fits perfectly around everything I need to do in a week for everyone. Life is hectic, from the farm to chasing my almost grown-up kids and earning a living, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
